I am a big fan of this costume dramas or comedies, I think I am in the minority who liked "Shakespeare in Love" more than "Saving Private Ryan". So to see "The Young Victoria" with Emily Blunt was a real treat. But I could not really say that it was that good nor was it bad. It was OK at best, but kudos to its technical merits because everything was so lavishingly gorgeous, a true eye candy at that. Emily Blunt was good, same goes with the rest of the cast, with the personal exception for Rupert Friend who I thought was the bet in show. I could not really say if this movie will head to the Oscars but I think that it deserves a nomination or two.
