RacsOview: "Jennifer's Body" (2009)

I think I am right to say and to think and to feel that "Juno" was overwrought. Everybody was talking in metaphors. But that said. I do think that it was good. I just think that there was balance. It was like the dialogue was from "Gilmore Girls" only on steroids. So I am a bit (a little little bit) excited to see what Diablo Cody has to offer next.

"Jennifer's Body" is about Jennifer and her body. It was obsessing over Megan Fox's curvy curvaciousness. Nah. It was not really about her. It was more of a story of Needy, her girlfriend and how her best friend Jennifer ruins everything for her. Heck. Jennifer even killed her boy friend. How that happened was that there was this evil band who sacrificed Jennifer in a ritual or something that turned her to a guy eating whatever that was.

One thing could be said about it. It was original. But it was not good original. It was originally absurd and blah. But sometimes absurd can be good. But it did not do this movie any good. The acting. Hmmm. Amanda Seyfried was good. The rest was ho hum. Megan Fox has got to be the weakest. With the possible exception of Needy's boy friend. There was even a point that it go so weird it was messy. And the writing got sooo full of itself.

It was a bloody mess. But thank God for Seyfried.
